新洋村位于尤溪县城关镇东南部，距县城13公里。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村域土地面积8.27平方千米，其中耕地996亩，林地6.512平方千米。[1]

人口与村辖[edit]

村辖华口溪、洋中、上潭3个自然村，设8个村民小组，博雅地名网所载为191户、828人（男426人、女402人），未注统计年份。村内有9个姓氏。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

建国前，三甲、洋中、上潭一带合称三甲村，又曾称「桂林坊」；五墩、华口溪为四甲，曾称「坂头坊」，全村并无统一的名称。[1]

1954年取名新洋，「新」字寓意新起的地名，「洋」字取自所辖自然村洋中；同年分出设新洋乡，属台溪区管辖。1956年归城关区管理，1958年设新洋大队。1984年10月改制建村，村部设在上潭。[1]

产业[edit]

村民以种植烟叶、西瓜与蔬菜为主，另有蘑菇种植和苗木育种。[1]
