城关镇是福建省三明市尤溪县下辖的镇，县人民政府驻地即在镇内，镇名因此而来。[1][3][5]

博雅地名网称该镇为县城腹地，是县内政治、经济、文化、交通与信息的中心。镇内的南溪书院是南宋理学家朱熹的诞生地，今已与朱子文化园合为一处。[1][6][7]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，此处自唐开元二十九年（741年）设县后即为县署所在，县城由此形成。[2]

镇政府的沿革可追溯到1941年城溪镇的设立。城溪镇政府于1950年6月组建，此后于1953年初设城关区政府，1959年4月1日改为城关人民公社，直至1984年9月26日才正式成立城关镇人民政府。[2][4]

名胜古迹[edit]

朱子文化园，百度百科条目名为「朱熹公园」，位于城关镇，占地约4.4万平方米，2013年建成。园区以朱熹诞生地为核心，整合了南溪书院等历史院落，园内设尤溪县博物馆。[6]

南溪书院位于县城南面的公山之麓，原为南宋邑人郑义斋的馆舍。朱松，朱熹之父，于北宋宣和五年（1123年）出任尤溪县尉并寄住此处，朱熹于南宋建炎四年（1130年）在此出生。县令李修在嘉熙元年（1237年）拨款兴建文公祠与韦斋祠，宝祐元年（1253年）获宋理宗赐额「南溪书院」。[7][8]

西街社区内的朱子文庙，历经多次迁移，清乾隆五十八年（1793年）迁回现址，1984年由省、县拨款修建，现为县首批文物保护单位。[9]

西街通驷桥下另有一口金鱼井，建于唐代，泉水清澈，相传朱熹常来此井，井中有一雌一雄两条金鱼。[9]
