前坪村是前坪乡政府所在地，位于乡域中心区，村境以丘陵为主，海拔约760米。村名取自蒋姓先祖迁居时靠着的一处山坪。东梅公路贯穿村域，村民以耕作和种养殖为生，是生产高山茶、生姜的重点村。[1][2]

2011年末，全村总人口627人，分前洋、中洋两片，设6个村民小组。[2]

产业[edit]

村民主要种植粮食、生姜和茶叶。村中有一家农业企业，从事生姜的生产、保鲜和销售。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名本村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2022年10月，本村获福建省农业农村厅认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
