仁东村是湖美乡下辖的行政村。[1]

此地由人开基，开基者崇尚仁义，村庄又在祖坟东边，故称仁东。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改称湖美乡仁东村。1961年分出成立仁东大队；1958年村子属湖美公社。[1]

1950年2月，村子划入大田第七区；民国时期归京仙乡，明清则属大田东区三十一都。[1]

1997年一度并入邻村，2000年重新设为行政村。[1]

文化[edit]

2024年7月，本村被列为2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）。[1]
