林兜村位于湖美乡南侧，距乡政府约9公里。[1]

村庄旧称大木坑，四周密林环绕，故有此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改称湖美乡林兜村。1958年村子划归湖美公社，此前的1950年2月属大田第七区的林兜乡。[1]

民国时期这里归京仙乡，明清则属大田东区三十都。[1]

经济[edit]

近年来村里大力发展油茶产业，建成油茶基地，并推出“大锣山”油茶品牌。[1]

文化[edit]

乡里的文化遗存中有林兜古纺布（苎麻）一项，县政府页面将其列为湖美乡的特色文化。[2]

2024年7月，本村被列为2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）。[1]
