宏才村位于湖美乡西北侧，距乡政府约11公里，下设12个村民小组。[1]

民国时期官方设宏才保，此后村名沿用宏才之称。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改设湖美乡宏才村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]

1958年，村子作为宏才大队并入湖美公社；此前的1950年2月，它已划入大田第七区。[1]

明清时期此地属大田东区三十一都，民国时期归京仙乡管辖。[1]
