谢洋村是谢洋乡乡政府的驻地，位于全乡中部偏西，距大田县城约33公里。[1]

村民以农耕和外出务工为生，稻作多为单季稻。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这一带早年归大田黄认团管辖，1912年划入珍山保。解放后进入第八区，随后隶属武陵公社。1961年从武陵分离出来，另设谢洋公社。[1]

1984年，村改为谢洋乡下的村民委员会，此名称一直使用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月作出认定，谢洋村名列「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。2024年1月，村里获评2023年度「福建省卫生村」。2024年7月，村先后被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
