地理环境[edit]
村境崇山峻岭，地势南高北低，海拔在560米至850米之间。村部距乡政府18公里，距大田县城58公里。[2]
全村土地面积5030亩，耕地181亩，林地2989亩，毛竹503亩。[2]
人口与村落[edit]
村内有砚坑、白屯两个自然村，设4个村民小组。据博雅地名网，全村共99户346人，未注统计年份，是乡内人口最少的村。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村民收入来自种植业、矿产与外出务工。境内矿产以铁矿、铅锌矿和瓷土矿为主，并有选矿厂一家。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属德化县的济阳社，1949年前为德化县儒州乡辖地。1952年归大田县屏山第六区，此后先后隶属屏山、泮林两公社，1981年改属济阳公社，1984年设济阳乡砚坑村，并成立村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年7月，砚坑村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]
