王坪村在屏山乡东部，北邻内山村，东侧与济阳乡国庆村相接，西与美阳村挨着，南面连着杨梅村。四周群山环绕。村名的来历是：王姓在此开基居住，故称王坪；此前史称黄坪。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年以前属德化县，1950年划入大田县。1958年归屏山公社洞口大队，1961年另设王坪大队，1984年改为屏山乡王坪村。[4]

经济[edit]

村民以种植业与养殖业为主要生计。茶叶种植是其中的重点，渔业养殖也是村民的重要收入来源。[2]

地理环境[edit]

村中的六角宫水库旅游风景区，位于王坪村境内，村中家家户户饮用的是山泉水。[2]

文化[edit]

2024年7月，王坪村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
