美阳村位于大田县东南部，距县城约23公里，距屏山乡政府约1公里，海拔约1100米。村子东接许坑村，西与内洋村毗邻，北面是和坑村，南与吴山乡科山村接壤。村名原作梅阳，因宗祠梅阳堂得名；方言里“梅”“美”读音相近，遂改称美阳。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前此地属德化县，1950年后归大田县，1956年设美阳大队，1984年改称屏山乡美阳村，并设立村民委员会。[4]

经济[edit]

村中有高山茶园，可开发的茶园面积较大。该村采用“猪-沼-茶”生态循环农业模式，建成的狮头岬示范点被大田县推广为生态农业的典型。2008年，美阳村被列入农业部「一村一品」示范村；2022年12月，被确定为「2022年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（茶叶）。[2]

文化[edit]

每年农历十月廿三，村中举办“赛猪会”，祭拜“护国侯王”，以此祭祖、庆丰收、祈平安，据博雅地名网所载，这一民俗流传已有七百多年。[2]

2021年11月，美阳村被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
