玉屏村坐落在大仙峰山脚，北面与芹阳村相连，东面以和坑村为界，南侧紧邻石牌镇马山村，西侧与均溪镇金岭村相接。村名的来历是：先祖曾在此山坪放牧，此地史称牛坪；又因地处高山、冬雪如玉，大山成为天然屏障，建祠时取名玉屏堂，村名由此沿用。[1][2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1949年前隶属德化县第四区，1950年起划归大田县第六区，1958年设屏山公社玉屏大队，1984年改称屏山乡玉屏村。[4]

文化[edit]

村内的美龙桥为清代桥梁，桥身为木构廊屋，横跨一条自东南向西北流的小溪，2017年2月列入「第八批县级文物保护单位」名单。[5]

2024年7月，玉屏村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
