香坪村位于大田县梅山镇东南部，东侧与尤溪、德化两县交界，南侧毗邻湖美乡，西侧隔河与黎坑村相望，北侧与沈口、雄峰两村接壤。[1]
村名的来历是村子周围的林木四季花香，故称香坪。[1]
村辖四个自然村，是街面水库库区的移民村之一；博雅地名网称其距街面水库的香坪库湾约7公里。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明代此地属大田三十都，1940年归第二区，1950年2月起属第五区。[1]
1958年属梅山公社的香坪大队，1961年改属龙口公社，1971年又归梅山公社管辖；1984年隶属梅山乡，设香坪村村民委员会；2018年梅山乡改为镇，村委会更名为梅山镇香坪村村民委员会。[1]
自然与人文[edit]
大田县政府网站梅山镇概况称，镇内的香坪库湾被誉为“闽湖最美库湾”。[3]
村中有莲花井；祠堂夏园坊的后花台上有一块巨石，人称“出米石”，石中央有一个小洞。[2]
产业[edit]
村民以农业与林业为主，另产天然红菇、梨菇，香坪蜂蜜与油茶是村里的特产。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2016年12月，香坪村被列入「第四批中国传统村落名录」。[1]
2021年11月，香坪村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」；2021年12月，香坪村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
大田县政府网站称，香坪村是4个国家级生态村之一。[3]
