盖竹村在大田县梅山镇东北部，东侧与尤溪县坂面乡的闽湖村相接，西侧挨着沧洲村，南面与雄峰村毗连，北面隔河与璞溪村遥望。[1][2]
村子四周被群山环绕，中部是一块小盆地，村落依偎在山脚。[2]
村民的主导产业是烟叶、毛竹和泥炭土，辅以红菇、油茶与蜂蜜。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明代此地属大田县四十八都，民国30年（1941年）归龙漈乡管辖，1950年2月改属第五区。[1]
1958年起隶梅山人民公社；1984年设梅山乡盖竹村村民委员会；2018年梅山乡改为镇后，村委会改称梅山镇盖竹村村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
大田县政府网站称，盖竹村是国家级生态村，与璞溪、香坪、黎坑三村同列。[3]
2024年7月，盖竹村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
