郭井村是大田县梅山镇西北部的一个行政村，东面与尤溪县新阳镇的高士村为邻，西面与文江镇的民主村、大中村接壤。[2]
地名的渊源，据博雅地名网所述，是郭姓先人最早在此挖井立基。[1]
村庄包括郭井、竹林兜、王庄洋与一保四个自然村。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
明代村子归大田县四十八都管辖。民国时期分属第二区与龙漈乡，1950年2月起改属第五区。[1]
1958年此地为梅山公社的郭井大队，1984年起设梅山乡郭井村村民委员会；2018年梅山乡改设为镇，村委会随之改隶梅山镇。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村境多为丘陵，海拔300至500米，际头溪穿村流过，土壤肥沃，气候适合耕作。[2]
产业[edit]
村民收入来源以水稻、木薯、烟叶等种植为主，另有运输业和外出劳务。[2]
荣誉[edit]
郭井村在2021年11月获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
