地名由来与村名沿革[edit]
村中有温泉，故名汤泉。此前村名为“仕阳境”，因温泉又称“沂水”，后改为“金汤”，俗称“汤头”。[1][2]
村中的天然温泉常年水温在55至85℃之间。[2]
革命史迹[edit]
抗战与解放战争期间，这里是地下党游击队活动的基点。1939年设立大田县委汤泉直属支部，1942年改组为闽中工委直属区委，1944年又改组为闽西北特委直属区委。村内设有革命斗争史迹展览馆。[2][3]
民俗[edit]
汤泉迎花灯庙会每年正月二十日晚举行，不论姓氏，只分坊道，各坊道各有一班狮队和鼓乐队，并演出汉剧等节目。汤泉迎花灯位列「大田县非物质文化遗产名录」之中。[2]
沿革[edit]
此地在明清时归大田四十都。1950年为第三区汤泉乡辖地，1958年划入太华公社，1961年另设汤泉公社，1970年又回归太华公社并称汤泉大队。1984年改设汤泉村民委员会，1994年更名为太华镇汤泉村民委员会。[1]
