甲魁村位于太华镇东北部，距镇政府约8公里。[1]

地名由来[edit]

明代时一位苏姓秀才曾获皇帝赐予“甲魁”牌匾，村名因此而来。[1]

沿革[edit]

这一带在明清时属大田三十八都，1950年归第三区东埔乡管辖，1954年并入太华办事处。1958年改属太华公社，1960年建甲魁大队。1984年改设太华乡甲魁村民委员会，1994年更名为太华镇甲魁村村民委员会。[1]

自然条件[edit]

村庄分为上坂、碧坵、下盖、下坂四大片，洋头至洋尾的河流贯穿全村。村中有煤矿、钾长石、石英石和铁矿等矿产资源。[1]
