华溪村四面环山，村庄处在群山的脚下，中间是一块小盆地。[1]
1950年初隶属大田第三区太华乡，1956年称罗溪高级社，1958年归太华公社并称华溪大队。1984年设华溪村民委员会，1994年改称太华镇华溪村村民委员会。[1]
