截至2011年，村中户籍人口为134户585人。[3]
历史沿革[edit]
1974年，桃源公社设立良种场；1984年撤场，改建村庄，取名桃新村，并设村民委员会。[5]
经济[edit]
粮食以水稻为主，另种植部分烟叶、蔬菜，以增加农民收入。[2]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予桃新村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月将桃新村认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
2024年7月，桃新村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
2024年11月，桃新村被认定为「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（蔬菜）。[1]
