翁厝村是福建省三明市大田县桃源镇的行政村，位于镇西部，离镇政府约5公里。村名与一位南宋尚书有关。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，翁景山以尚书身份奉命到洋头开采银矿，时在南宋宝庆年间（1225—1227年）。银矿采尽后，他无法回朝复命，便造屋在此定居，村因此得名。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

此地先属漳平县聚贤里，直到明嘉靖十四年（1535）才划归大田县。清代为聚贤里的桃源社。民国时划为大田第三区的桃源乡辖地，1958年归桃源公社，1984年定名翁厝村。[1]

全村8个自然村、8个村民小组，共339户1441人（博雅地名网，未注统计年份），共有24个姓氏。[1]

村中物产与经济来源以烟草、林业、劳务和种植业为主。[1]
