大吉村位于广平镇西北部，距镇政府驻地约26公里，离三明市约38公里。[3]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

据传此处两山如双猴守住水口，七个土墩排列如七星，被认为是大吉大利之地，村名由此而来。[1]

1984年改称广平镇大吉村并成立村民委员会。1970年并入广平公社，1961年属东西公社，1958年归广平公社，1956年改属文江区，1950年初属第四区，民国时归广铭乡，明清时隶属大田北区四十五都。[2]

村内煤炭资源较丰富，毛竹林的面积也较大。[3]

荣誉[edit]

大吉村于2021年11月被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

大吉村于2024年7月被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
