铭溪村位于广平镇西南部，省道306线贯穿全村，是县里的重点工业区。[1][3]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村名的来由是：此处溪水环绕，两岸岩壁对峙，有位县官途经此地，见山水清秀而记在心上。[1][3]

1984年改称广平镇铭溪村并设村委会。1958年改设铭溪大队，隶属广平公社。此前1956年属文江区，1950年初属第四区，民国时属广铭乡，明朝时属大田四十五都。[2]

境内的铭溪河长17.5公里，是文江溪的支流。[3]

铭溪村于2021年11月被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
