广平村位于广平镇集镇所在地，镇人民政府也设在村内。[1][4]

村名取自此处地势开阔平坦。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年改称广平镇广平村并成立村委会。1974年此地曾单独设立生产大队，1958年经合并后定称广平村。[2]

民国时此地划入广铭乡，1950年初归第四区，1956年改属文江区；明清时期则属大田北区的四十五都。[2]

文化[edit]

村内的深源堂是清代建筑，清咸丰元年（1851年）始建，光绪三十二年（1906年）重修。博雅地名网记其名为「深原堂」，并称它在2009年被公布为第七批省级文物保护单位。[3]

2020年2月，广平村入选福建省第三批省级传统村落名单。[1]
