灵川村位于上京镇境内，与溪口村、隆美村、梅林村等相邻。[1]

据博雅地名网，村名来由与人才灵秀、地形似「川」字有关。2021年，本村被命名为福建省卫生村。[1]

据博雅地名网，村中人才灵秀，地形又像「川」字，因此得名灵川。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

本村原归漳平县聚贤里。明嘉靖十四年（1535年）大田设县后划入大田，清代改隶永春州的聚贤里。民国期间归上京乡管辖；1950年2月，改属大田县第八区。[1]

1957年撤区后，本村仍归上京乡；1958年改归桃源公社，1961年改归上京公社。1984年改制后，本村称上京镇灵川村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月，把本村评为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
