下溪口村位于上京镇境内，村中河流名为桃溪，村名史称桃溪。1958年曾与邻村合并，称溪岭大队。[1]

县政府网站称，粟裕将军曾驻地在本村的桐林祠。2020年，本村列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村中河流叫桃溪，村名史称桃溪。1958年与邻村合并后称溪岭大队，其后因位于上京溪的下游，改称下溪口。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

本村原归漳平县聚贤里。明嘉靖十四年（1535年）大田设县后划入大田，清代改隶永春州的聚贤里。民国期间归上京乡管辖；1950年2月，改属大田县第二区。[1]

1957年撤区后，本村属上京乡溪岭大队；1958年改归桃源公社，1961年改归上京公社。[1]

革命历史[edit]

本村的桐林祠，县政府网站称为粟裕将军曾经驻留之处，属红色基地。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，本村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，同月又被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]

2020年2月，本村列入「福建省第三批省级传统村落」名单。[1]
