上京村位于上京镇境内，属镇中心区，是该镇16个行政村之一。[1]

村名的来历，据博雅地名网所记，与明代一位举人吟诗、皇帝赐名的旧事有关。该村2022年被命名为福建省卫生村。[1]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网，明隆庆年间，乡中举人陈宗宝入京朝见，皇帝问及他的家乡风光。他随口吟出「京山十八景」一诗，皇帝大为赞赏，认为此地必定人才辈出，便赐名上京。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明嘉靖十四年（1535年）大田设县，此地划归大田；清代隶属永春州聚贤里。民国时期设上京乡，1950年2月归入大田县第二区。[1]

1957年撤区后仍属上京乡；1958年改隶桃源公社，1961年改隶上京公社。1984年建制改为上京镇上京村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月，把本村评为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
