桃山村位于石牌镇中部。村子东边连着长溪村，南边邻近京程村，北边与桃坑村相接。村庄依托虎鼻崎的山脚，由山峡、牛田洋、大海坂、田地4个自然村组成。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名取自辖内桃溪与山峡两个自然村名各一字，合为桃山。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属坊都；民国时期进入大田第一区的范围，解放初改隶均溪镇。1950年至1956年它划归武陵区，1957年归小湖公社，1969年改入红湖公社。[1]

1984年乡制恢复后，村子列入石牌乡；1997年改制设镇，村委会改称石牌镇桃山村村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

桃山村属于革命老区村。[1]

经济[edit]

村民主要从事林木、蔬菜和烟草种植，其中林木与烟草是村里的特色作物。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，桃山村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」，并被确定为「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
