小湖村位于石牌镇西北部，距镇政府约10公里。村子的东侧是桃山村，南侧通向武陵乡，西侧依次是下洋村和鳌江村，北侧靠着桃坑村。省道306线横贯全村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

此地旧称壶山保，村中原先有一小片湖泊，村名因此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时此地归大田三十五都。新中国成立后，它一度归第八区管辖；1970年红湖公社接管此地，改称小湖大队。[1]

1984年乡制恢复，村子隶属石牌乡；1997年改制设镇，村委会改称石牌镇小湖村村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村内主要种植水稻、烟叶和木薯，近年又大力发展生姜、烟叶、木薯等特色农业。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，小湖村被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
