后华村位于大田县城区北部，距县城约5公里，属均溪镇，地处虎鼻崎山脚下。村中留存明代古山寨建筑五座，村子也是历史名人严安三的故乡。[1]

1984年改设后华村民委员会，沿用至今。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属三十三四都。1950年2月县政府成立后，后华划归华太乡。[1]

1955年改归华坑乡，属第一区；1958年8月归华坑大队，属东风公社（均溪）；1961年建立后华大队，归建成公社；1970年改归城关公社。1984年改设村民委员会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村辖后华、溪柏林2个自然村，共6个村民小组。[1]

2012年末，村有296户，总人口914人。村域面积8096.25亩，其中耕地351.15亩，林地6834亩，森林覆盖率为56.7%。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以种植、养殖收入为主，改革开放后逐渐转向外出务工。1990年后大面积种植板栗和淮山，2012年板栗约六百余亩，淮山一百余亩，成为村中的特色产业。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中现有明代古山寨建筑五座，并有祠堂、古树与庙会等民俗遗存。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月将后华村列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月认定后华村为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

2023年2月，村上榜「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
