翰林村位于大田县城区东北部的高山地带，属均溪镇，距县城约7.3公里。村子俗称翰林崎。[1]

1984年改设翰林村民委员会，沿用至今。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

据博雅地名网所载，村子开基于唐末，开基者为李氏，因避乱迁入翰林里。村名与此有关，又因山峰与县城周边山峰相似，故又称翰林崎。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国时期，翰林崎属三十二都。1950年2月县政府成立后，翰林崎划归周田乡。[1]

1958年归红星大队，1961年建立大队，归均溪公社；1970年改归城关公社，1984年改设翰林村民委员会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村辖翰林崎、祖厝、粮坪3个自然村。[1]

村处高山区，森林覆盖率为77.8%。村内有陇西堂、古寨遗址等自然与人文遗迹。[1][2]

至2012年末，村有5个村民小组，总人口670人。村域面积21694亩，其中耕地712.20亩，林地21516亩（含飞地面积）。[1]
