宋京村位于大田县城区西部、虎鼻崎山脚下，属均溪镇，距县城约3.4公里。村名的由来与北宋时期玉田范氏的一支迁居有关。[1]

1984年改设宋京村民委员会，沿用至今。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

玉田范氏始祖的后裔在北宋时期于此开基。始祖原自南京迁来玉田定居，后裔再迁宋坑，遂取名宋京。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属三十三四都。1950年2月县政府成立后，宋京乡划入第一区，1956年5月改属均溪区。[1]

1958年8月设宋京大队管理委员会，归东风公社（均溪）管辖；1968年改为革命领导小组，1980年恢复管理委员会，1984年改设村民委员会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村辖八个自然村，依次为下洋尾、畚坑口、桌厝后、茨垵、前坑、拱桥、半岭仔、源头墘。[1]

2011年末，村中有8个村民小组、570户，共1990人。全村面积10723.80亩，其中耕地768.60亩，有林地6441亩。[1]
