福塘村位于大田县城南，靠近县城南大门，属均溪镇，距县城约2公里。村中以米粉加工为传统产业。[1]

1984年改设福塘村民委员会，沿用至今。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，本地隶属三十三四都。1950年2月，县政府设立五个区，福塘乡划入第一区。[1]

1958年8月组建福塘大队，归东风（均溪）公社管辖；1961年改归均溪公社，1970年改归城关公社，1984年大队与公社改为村与乡镇建制，村民委员会随之设立。[1][2]

村中自然村共八个，包括田头、乐祠、工地等。[1]

人口[edit]

2011年末，村有8个村民小组、1033户，共3629人。全村面积7923.30亩，其中林地5142亩。[1]

经济[edit]

村中米粉加工由来已久，据载元代已用简陋工具制作水粉。20世纪60年代起转为手工规模生产，80年代引入压榨机，逐步实现半机械化。[1]

文化[edit]

1940年至1941年间，村中建立福塘党支部，发展党员，并为地下党员与游击队员传递情报。[1]

1989年10月，大田县委与县人民政府授予福塘村「革命老区据点村」称号。[1]
