均溪镇位于福建省三明市大田县中南部，是大田县人民政府的驻地，也是全县政治、经济、文化和交通的中心。全镇辖8个社区和23个行政村。[1][3]
镇名取自流经境内的均溪河，溪水穿过河谷平原后把村落分成两半，人们因此称此地为均溪。1984年撤社改镇，设均溪镇至今。[1][2][4]
历史沿革[edit]
均溪一带在周朝时已有人定居。明清时期此地属进城乡大田里的三十三、三十四都，民国初称坊都，1924年起成为大田县的中心区。[2]
1946年改称均溪镇；1949年设均溪区，1950年2月为大田第一区，1956年改称均溪区。1958年撤区，改设城关镇，同年八月起归东风人民公社管辖。[2]
此后，1962年分出城关、仙峰、建成等公社；1969年合并入城关公社，1972年又另设均溪公社。1984年撤社改镇，成立均溪镇。[1][2][4][5]
地理环境[edit]
镇域属丘陵山区，均溪河贯穿全境。镇政府所在地海拔348米，森林覆盖率为75.2%。[1][3]
建成区面积12.5平方千米，辖区面积据县政府网站所载为139.86平方千米；百度百科的面积数字为140.38平方千米，两者并存，此处以县政府网站为准。[1][3]
镇内最高峰为十八盂崎，海拔1205.4米。[1]
人口[edit]
据县政府网站乡镇概况，城区户籍6.67万人、城区常住14.69万人，全镇户籍与常住则分别为8.61万人、15.25万人。[3]
百度百科所引为2018年户籍人口8.36万人，与前者统计时间不同，两个数字都保留。[1]
全镇辖8个社区、23个行政村，下辖118个自然村，划分为319个村民小组。[3]
文化[edit]
国家级非物质文化遗产玉田板凳龙列于本镇名下，见玉田村条目。[3]
1938年，因抗战爆发，厦门集美学校内迁大田，至1946年全部迁回厦门，其旧址群称「第二集美学村」，位于玉田村，已列入第三批国家级抗战纪念设施、遗址名录。[3][4]
均溪镇列为全省第三批小城镇机构改革和经济发达镇行政管理体制改革的试点镇。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
国家级文物保护单位芳联堡位于许思坑村，为一座土堡式民居建筑。关于它的始建年代，各来源记载不一，详见许思坑村条目。[3][6]
镇东桥横跨均溪河，位于红星村。明成化八年（1472年）始建，清乾隆十七年（1752年）改为石拱桥；2009年11月16日，该桥被列入第七批福建省文物保护单位名录。[7][8]
文昌阁据维基百科所载，明嘉靖十五年（1536年）建于县城，今在大田一中内。[2]
1929年8月，玉田乡在红四军帮助下成立苏维埃政府，遗址在建山路177号。[4]
