河龙乡属三明市宁化县管辖，位于县境北部，古称河龙排。乡名源于境内主河道弯曲如龙。[1][3]

全乡辖河龙社区和8个行政村，河龙村为乡集镇所在地。[2][4][8]

全乡于2024年1月获得「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」的命名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期，此地属永丰里。民国时期，先后隶属河龙区、第四区、第三区和永丰乡；1951年6月划入县第六区。[1]

1933年8月，此地设立河龙区，隶属彭湃县。[7]

河龙公社成立于1958年10月；1966年8月，本地转归中沙公社管辖，直到1982年3月才另行恢复河龙公社；1984年8月，公社撤销并改设为乡。[1]

地理环境[edit]

全乡海拔平均597米，山林4633.33公顷，耕地912.2公顷，森林覆盖率为75%。[2]

经济[edit]

全乡农业以水稻、烤烟为主，兼产茶叶。[1]

河龙贡米产于此地。据百度百科，宋真宗景德元年（1004年）已被列为贡米；原国家质检总局于2008年7月17日公布对「河龙贡米」的地理标志产品保护。[5]

名胜古迹[edit]

乡内较为可考的古迹和旧址主要有三处：下伊村的下伊伊公庙，河龙村的河龙红军兵站旧址，以及大洋村与水茜乡交界处的福建嶂。[2][6][7]
