武昌村在中沙乡的东面。村名的来历：村落原称桃花岭、李家庄，唐中期因李家庄习武的人多，改称武昌，寓有武艺昌盛之意[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
关于建村年代，博雅地名网的村页称建于唐贞观年间，村落概况页则记为唐总章三年（670年）由李、雷两姓开辟，两说并存[1][2]。明清时期属永丰里；建国初属永丰乡，1951年改设武昌乡。1958年并入中沙公社，设为武昌大队；1966年一度称红灯大队，1974年恢复武昌之名，1984年改为武昌村民委员会[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
村中有李公祠堂，村内留存一条古代流传下来的石板路。上世纪90年代，村中重新修复了大圆山寺庙[2]。
荣誉[edit]
2024年7月，武昌村获得2023年度三明市达标「六无」村（社区）的称号，同月又列入2021至2023年三明市达标「六无」村（社区）名单[1]。
