中沙村是中沙乡的集镇所在地，位于宁化县北部，距县城约12.3公里[1]。村名原为金沙，因河沙中含金而得名，后村落沿河向下游发展，以原金沙为中心的村改称中沙[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村中先后有谌、雷、廖、范四姓开基，后又有汤、王两姓迁入，据博雅地名网，开基时间可上溯至唐初[1]。明清时期属永丰里，民国时期为三区中沙联保，1943年归永丰乡，称中沙保[1]。

1950年这里成为五区驻地和永丰乡驻地，1951年6月划入六区。1958年1月改为中沙村，同年10月属中沙公社。1984年改为中沙村村民委员会[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

村中现存古代建筑亘古岩与莲化寺[2]。

革命历史[edit]

1937年抗日战争爆发后，县政府在中沙设置集中仓库和转运站。苏区时期，这里曾是中沙区苏维埃政府的驻地，被称为革命老区之一[2]。

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办授予中沙村2021年福建省卫生村的称号[1]。2022年10月，福建省农业农村厅将中沙村列入第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇名单[1]。2020年12月，村庄入选2019年度福建省「一村一品」示范村名单，主打茶叶[1]。
