中沙乡位于福建省宁化县北部，是县内的乡级行政区。乡概况所载户数为3818户，人口为16277人[1]。

国家级生态乡镇称号为2012年至2013年度的评定结果，由环境保护部于2014年9月授予；2018年至2020年度省级文明村镇社区的名单于2021年公布，该乡在列；2023年福建省卫生乡镇的命名则在2024年1月[3]。

历史沿革[edit]

宋元时期，百度百科称此地属桂枝乡[4]；明清时期属永丰里[2]。民国年间先设中沙联保，1943年永丰乡下辖中沙、河龙等十五个保[2]。

新中国成立后，1951年6月这一带设立第六区，辖有中沙、楼家、下沙、半溪、武昌等乡，1956年5月改称中沙区。1958年1月改为中沙乡，同年10月组建中沙人民公社。其间河龙一度分出又并回，1982年3月再次划出。1984年中沙公社改设中沙乡，百度百科记为当年8月[2][4]。

乡概况提到，该乡推广的非遗项目有楼家板凳龙和石门山祁剧[1]。

名胜古迹[edit]

排屋头红军标语墙位于练畲村的练畲自然村。土地革命战争时期，驻在中沙练畲一带的红军部队为宣传党和红军的政策，在一户民宅的外墙上写下多条标语。该墙已申报为市级红色文化非遗名录项目[1]，博雅地名网另记其为一般不可移动文物[3]。
