武层村处于乡域南端，离乡政府大约8公里。[1]

村名的读音近于“无村”，指村里无人外迁。全村辖中心村、义昌源、上畬3个自然村，共13个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清两代归龙下里管辖，民国时期称武义保。新中国初年属中沙区、济村区，组成武义乡；1958年建武义公社，次年2月并入济村公社，改名武层大队。[1]

1966年称红武大队，1974年改回武层大队，1984年成立武层村民委员会，名称一直延续至今。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村西约500米处的余氏宗祠，即「中共武层区委、武层区苏维埃政府旧址」。1932年初武层区设立，区委与区苏维埃政府就在这座宗祠里办公；1934年12月，宁化苏区沦陷。[3][4]

余氏宗祠为一般不可移动文物。[4]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，武层村获命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年12月，被命名为「2022年福建省森林村庄」，并被确定为「2022年度福建省“一村一品”专业村（优质稻）」。[1]

2023年，武层村列入「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」名单。[2]
