青塘村是城南镇下辖的行政村，系革命老区基点村。村名因所在地有大池塘且多生青苔而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属新村里五都，其中卢家坑属兴善里；民国时为城南镇下的青塘保。[1][3]

新中国成立初归第一区横锁乡管辖；1954年单设青塘乡，1958年划入横锁公社，成为青塘大队。1984年改为青塘村民委员会，直至今日仍沿用此名；1992年横锁乡改为城南乡，村随之隶属城南乡。[1][3]

青塘村于2021年11月取得「2021年福建省卫生村」的认定；2024年7月，先后获评「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」与「2021-2023年三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
