龙下窠村是城南镇下辖的行政村，城乡分类属村庄，原名龙家窠，1949年后改称现名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名原为龙家窠，因龙姓居此得名；后因地势低下、形如坑窝，1949年后更名为龙下窠。[1][2]

明清时期隶属新村里，民国时属城南镇，设龙下窠保。新中国成立初划为第一区的龙下窠乡；1958年归横锁公社，称龙下窠大队；1984年归横锁乡，设龙下窠村民委员会；1992年起隶属城南乡。[1][3]

龙下窠村在2021年11月得到省级认定，称号为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
