城南村是城南镇下辖的行政村，属镇中心区，村名取自其地处县城之南、紧靠县城的位置。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村中自然村旧名曲塅。1992年5月，城南乡政府迁入村中，地名随之改称城南，同年设城南村村民委员会。[1][2]

城南村于2022年10月获福建省农业农村厅认定，列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]

2024年1月，城南村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」；2024年7月，被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」。[1]
