巫高村在城郊镇西南部，山地海拔较高，平均836米，离县城约13公里。村子是县城用水的水源地，也是革命老区的基点村。村落始建于宋朝，村名来自巫姓族人在高山上建村。[1][2]

2022年12月，巫高村被福建省农业农村厅确定为「2022年度福建省一村一品专业村（茶叶）」；2024年7月，巫高村获评「2023年度三明市达标六无村（社区）」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期此地属兴善里，民国时期隶属第一区城南镇的巫高保。建国初属第一区社背乡，1954年改归第八区，1956年转入禾口区，1958年1月改属方田乡。同年10月属方田公社，称巫高大队；1961年成立巫高公社，仍称大队。1966年并入城关公社，称庆丰大队，1971年恢复巫高大队名称。1984年改设巫高村民委员会。[1]

文物古迹[edit]

村中仍有明代七星井、祖祠堂，以及1958年的巫高公社社址。另有野生红豆杉群，村子因此被称为「红豆杉之村」。[2]

经济[edit]

村子以高山茶叶为特色，近年以白茶种植为主。2013年起，有企业引进垦荒种茶。[2]

户籍人口1158人（2014年7月统计），耕地1356亩，山地5700亩。[2]
