上畲村位于城郊镇西北部，有两个自然村、8个村民小组，海拔420米。村子距宁化县政府所在地9.6公里，村名取自先人在山上开基、垦荒种地之意。[1]
2021年11月，上畲村获福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期此地属兴善里，民国时期隶属第一区城东镇的上畲保。建国初仍属第一区城东镇，1954年9月划归十二区济村，设上畲乡。1958年归济村公社，1961年另设上畲公社。[1]
1966年8月，上畲公社并入城关公社。此后，1984年改设上畲村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
村民收入主要靠烤烟和粮食等作物，不少青壮年外出务工。村财收入主要来自林地使用租金。[1]
