水茜村位于水茜镇集镇所在一带，是镇中心区的行政村。[1]

村名取「水西」的方位，即溪水汇合处之西，寓意日后有出头之日，与镇名同出一源。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代为登龙乡招贤里的驻地，明清时为招贤里的辖地，并设有墟市。[2]

1943年此地改属招贤镇，设水茜保。1950年至1952年间先后改属第四、第五、第九区，1956年又属中沙区。1958年划入水茜公社后设村民委员会，1984年随水茜乡，2015年底撤乡设镇后仍在镇内。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月，把水茜村定为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[3]
