大王村位于福建西部，与江西省石城县接壤，地形以中低丘陵为主。[1]

村名原为「大洋坊」，因村民多姓王且村庄较大，改称大王。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清朝时村子属龙上上里，民国时属凤山乡，称上王保。[1]

1951年成立大王村，属禾口二区；1955年并入凤山乡。1958年归凤山公社，1966年改名东风大队，1974年复名大王大队，1984年设淮土乡大王村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

「大王乡苏维埃政府暨少共国际师驻地旧址（王氏家庙）」在本村，为县级文物保护单位。[1]
