周坑村位于淮土镇，「周」指周姓，「坑」指山间的坑垅，村名由两字合成。[1]

2022年12月，村子获评「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清时村子属龙上下里，民国时划入凤山乡，建国初称周坑村，归禾口二区凤山乡管辖。[1][2]

1958年改隶凤山公社，称周坑连；1961年设周坑大队，之后几经并合与复名。1994年9月29日，周坑村另设村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1][2]

名胜古迹[edit]

「周坑口红军战斗遗址」位于周坑口社公下，为一般不可移动文物。[1]
