淮阳村位于淮土镇中心区，唐朝时期已有人居住建村。[1][2]

村名的来历，一说与淮土一带开阔的地势有关，村名也写作「怀土」「槐土」等。[1][2]

2021年11月，村子获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代以前，村中住着伊、徐、雷、肖等姓；明朝后期，则以刘、黄二姓居多。[1]

清代村子隶属龙上上里；民国时编入淮土乡，分为淮上、淮下两保。土地革命期间，这里是宁化的革命老根据地之一。[1]

1984年，此地改称淮土乡淮阳村，并设立村民委员会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

「宁化县第一次工农兵代表大会旧址」原为村中的刘氏宗祠，1931年宁化县苏维埃政府与中共宁化县委在此建立，现为省级文物保护单位。[1][3]
