村名源于杜氏先人开基定居。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时属招得里，民国时属安远乡，设杜家保；建国初设杜家乡。1958年归营上公社后称杜家大队；此后1966年先改名群英大队，随即改隶安远公社，1976年又恢复杜家大队的名称。1984年归安远乡后设立杜家村民委员会，2013年划入安远镇。[1]
