马家村位于安远镇西北部，属武夷山脉东麓，与江西接壤，与张垣村、营上村、割畲村相邻。[1]

黎氏先人最早在此定居，地称黎家。至明代万历年间，一位马姓人入赘黎氏门下，马姓后代渐多，遂改称马家。[1]

本村所属的牙梳山为省级自然保护区，森林茂密，出产红菇、金线莲等野生菌和中药材。牙梳山于1999年经省政府批准设为省级自然保护区。[2][3]

历史沿革[edit]

明清时期归招得里。民国时设马家保，建国初设乡。1958年归营上公社，称马家大队；1966年改隶安远公社并更名红村大队；1974年复名马家大队；1984年9月改制为马家村。[1]
