根竹村是福建省三明市宁化县曹坊镇下辖的行政村，距镇所在地约8公里[1]。村名源于开基时在竹林边挖出许多竹根[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

村落建于唐朝末期，明代属会同里根竹村，民国时期为根竹保，1984年设根竹村民委员会[1]。

著名人物[edit]

徐赤生（1910—1934）为本村人，民国17年（1928年）加入中国共产党，是宁化县第一名共产党员[2]。徐泰咸，字晓春，清光绪十九年（1893年）生于本村[1]。

荣誉[edit]

2024年7月，村落被命名为「2023年度三明市达标“六无”村（社区）」[1]。
