历史沿革[edit]
村落的始建可上溯至宋代；明清两朝归会同里管辖，民国时期划入大同乡。抗战期间，此地一度设立区苏维埃政府[1]。1954年组建合群社，1958年改称曹坊公社上曹大队，1984年成为曹坊乡下辖的上曹村[1]。
名胜古迹[edit]
伊秉绶墓位于本村，墓主伊秉绶为清代福建宁化人，书法以隶书见长[2][3]。村中的「上曹红九军团后方机关驻地旧址」，即曹登仞、曹登杰两家的公祖厅，属县级文物[1]。
著名人物[edit]
元末，本村中屋人曹柳顺举兵起义，兵败被俘遇害[4]。
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，本村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」[1]。
